When their café goes up in flames, Aline and Nika find themselves on a bus ride with a former pop singer, a widower and daughter – and a stranger who doesn’t seem to belong. With a lot of trouble on their heels, they travel through a dying world where ancient myths, new technologies and fears of social change intermingle. Thrown into the unknown, each of them must confront their inner and outer wounds and try to put the pieces back together – into something different than before.
